I came across an interesting article on Google+ from Life Hacker today, it explains how to Crack WiFi Network WPA password using Reaver. I am really interested in knowing more details about how this crack works but from what I gather from just looking at it, it seems to brute force its way into the WPS or Wireless Protected Setup. WPS systems seem to suffer from a poor design structure and poor implementation. Adam over at Life Hacker put a nice how to together to actually test this, so if you have a router that has WPS enabled try cracking it yourself.
Things you will need:
- A wireless laptop.
- Back Track Linux.
- A network connection to download and install Reaver.
- Time.
